Hypoallergenic - Oxford Dictionary Meaning - substances and materials are unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.

The Benefits of Hypoallergenic Treats for Dogs with Sensitivities

If your dog is on a hypoallergenic or grain-free diet, then their treats must also be free of the food that has caused the issue, otherwise you may find doggy having the symptoms they had before the diet but caused by the treats. Many dogs have allergies or sensitivities to many ingredients that are normally found in their food. If a dog has an intolerance to a food they eat, this can cause them to become ill or an infection can arise. Some of the most common foods to cause issues with dogs are wheat, corn and other grains, chicken, beef and other animal proteins, eggs and dairy. If your dog is on a special diet prescribed by a veterinarian, please follow their instructions and have a look at the full ingredient list on each of the product pages, however if you have been told to avoid any of the food types above then all our treats are suitable.

Why Choose David’s Dog Deli for Your Dogs Treats?

All our dog treats start with a base of gram flour. Gram flour is made with chickpeas which makes it grain and gluten-free, naturally high in protein and fibre and low in calories. If there is peanut butter used it is made from 100% peanuts making it free of palm oil and xylitol which is toxic to dogs. If there is no peanut butter in the ingredients, then coconut oil is added (the only added fat we use) which can help to promote a healthy coat and skin.
